White Bubble | Large Bowl - Scandi Stoneware

There's something almost architectural about this bowl - and something almost otherworldly. Wheel-thrown in my East Sussex garden studio from grey stoneware clay, it has been pierced entirely by hand with circular holes of varying sizes that travel around the perimeter, with the rim shaped to follow the natural flow of the bubbles. Up close, it looks like something the tide might have left behind.

Inside, the bowl is glazed in a clean white glaze that gives it a soft, luminous quality. The unglazed exterior has the tactile, pebble-like quality of all the Scandi Stoneware pieces. The base is left unpierced, making this a fully functional fruit or salad bowl as well as a stunning decorative piece.

Please note: there is one area on the outside with a slightly darker tone - likely from proximity to a dark-glazed piece in the kiln. This natural kiln effect is subtle and is reflected in the price.
