Every good cook knows the instinct - reach for a pinch of salt, a sprig of rosemary, a few peppercorns. These little handmade stoneware spice bowls are made for exactly that moment. Thrown off the hump in my East Sussex garden studio - a technique where multiple small pieces are thrown from a single large mound of clay - each one has its own subtle variation in shape and size that makes it feel genuinely hand-crafted.

The base of each bowl has been hand-carved for added texture, and they come in three glaze colours for the interior: a rich lagoon blue, a soft mossy green, and a clean white. The unglazed exterior has the tactile, pebble-like quality of all the Scandi Stoneware pieces.

Perfect for herbs and spices, condiments, olive oil dipping, or as a small trinket dish. Small enough to be unobtrusive, characterful enough to earn a permanent place on your kitchen worktop.
