When I was little, my Mom told me bedtime stories about a little girl with a big red balloon that could carry her away on adventures to far away lands. I never forgot those stories - and this little piece is my love letter to them.

Perched on the rim of this charming handmade trinket bowl from my Studio Originals Collection, a tiny hand-sculpted astronaut stands holding a little red balloon, ready for wherever the wind takes her. She could be heading anywhere. She's not worried.

Wheel-thrown in my East Sussex garden studio and finished entirely by hand, this piece wears the same stunning deep glossy black glaze with silver-grey flecks as its companion pieces in the collection. Inside, the bowl is glazed in a rich deep blue - part ocean, part night sky, part wherever your imagination takes you.

Small but full of wonder, it's perfect for holding rings, earrings, loose change, or any small treasures - or simply for sitting on your shelf and reminding you that adventures are always possible.
