This handmade stoneware mug is wheel-thrown in my East Sussex garden studio, then carved by hand to create a knitted texture across the body - the kind of pattern that makes you want to run your fingers over it. Finished with a bronze-brown ceramic button nestled into the carving, it's a small detail that makes the whole piece sing.
Inspired by the joy of crochet and knitting - for everyone who knows that curling up with a warm mug and a current project is one of life's better moments.
Inside and around the rim, a clean white glaze offers a smooth, food-safe finish. The unglazed lower exterior has the tactile, pebble-like quality of all the Scandi Stoneware pieces.
