Wheel-thrown in my East Sussex garden studio from grey stoneware clay, it has been pierced entirely by hand with \u003cstrong\u003ecircular holes of varying sizes\u003c\/strong\u003e that travel around the perimeter, with the \u003cstrong\u003erim shaped to follow the natural flow of the bubbles\u003c\/strong\u003e. Up close, it looks like something the tide might have left behind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the bowl is glazed in a clean \u003cstrong\u003ewhite glaze\u003c\/strong\u003e that gives it a soft, luminous quality. The unglazed exterior has the tactile, pebble-like quality of all the Scandi Stoneware pieces. The base is left unpierced, making this a fully functional \u003cstrong\u003efruit or salad bowl\u003c\/strong\u003e as well as a stunning decorative piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note: there is one area on the outside with a slightly darker tone - likely from proximity to a dark-glazed piece in the kiln.
